Wow, it is crazy how quickly one can fall behind! I had a crazy month of getting everything situated at the college I am going into the Fall. I live an hour away so I did a lot of driving! We also went to California to attend a beautiful family wedding. The ceremony was short, the bride and groom were amazing, and the reception was filled with people on my husbands side that I rarely get the pleasure of seeing. I also lose a lot of personal time because I do a lot of cooking and baking from scratch. I totally love to do it, but it really takes up a lot of time. I seriously spend some days entirely in the kitchen. Anyway, that is enough excuses! ;)
I thought I would make a post regarding my creative space. I think that your creative space should be well organized and inspiring. I think my room is very organized, but lacks the inspiring feeling. I bought some embroidery hoops to hang up. Right now I am deciding what to put on them. The only times this room looks messy is in the middle of a project. I am the type of person who cannot do projects or home work until my house is clean. I think I have gotten better over the years, but the space I am working in definitely has to be clear before I do anything!
Here are some pictures of my creative space!
I tried to do sort of a panoramic view of my craft room.
In the box on top of the second stool is my gingher scissor collection.
I saw it Costco a few years back and had to have it.
I am so lucky that I purchased it then, as I do not think you can find this anymore!
I am almost done with the pink cloak for my sister.
I am super excited to show that off.
I also ordered a fun looking craft book on making stuffed animals.
I already have a few ideas of some cuties to make.
I am going to be a part of a knitting & crochet/tea time group with a couple of new friends I made. I have mainly crocheted, because knitting frightens me. I am always scared to mess up and feel I will have to unravel the whole thing to fix it! However, I saw a project that was so amazing and inspiring! It is called the beekeepers quilt! You make a ton of small hexagon puffs. Besides it being so beautiful, I feel like it isnt an intimidating project. Each hexagon puffs is small so if I mess up I dont have to be scared of unraveling something huge! You also have the option to embroider them, so you can make special hexagon puffs. I think this is going to be super time consuming, but totally worth it!
